Thanks to absence of Palestinian sovereignty, Israel captures murderer within hours

...If the terrorist's home in Beit Amin/Qalqilya was within a sovereign Palestinian state (in temporary borders or otherwise) Israeli security forces would have been unable to enter the area to either question or detain him and the murder would have remained an open file and the body missing indefinitely.

#1. Yasser Arafat forfeited the Palestinian right to resist the Israeli occupation with violence as a pre-condition for Oslo

"...the PLO renounces the use of terrorism and other acts of violence"
Letter From Yasser Arafat To Prime Minister Rabin: September 9, 1993

Take note: Prime Minister Rabin insisted that the wording read "terrorism and other acts of violence" rather than just "terrorism", thus avoiding endless debates over whether a particular act of violence could be termed an act of "terror". Equally important, this renunciation of the use of violence placed no limit on the target of the acts. Arafat thus forfeited the right to carry out acts of violence not only against Israeli civilians but also against Israeli security forces.

#2. Israel was able to to solve the crime and capture the murderer only because there is no sovereign Palestinian state

If the terrorist's home in Beit Amin/Qalqilya was within a sovereign Palestinian state (in temporary borders or otherwise) Israeli security forces would have been unable to enter the area to either question or detain him and the murder would have remained an open file and the body missing
indefinitely.

#3. "Friend of peace" Mahmoud Abbas insists that Israel free the murderer

Mahmoud Abbas insists that Israel must release every Palestinian murderer regardless of when or why he murdered.

That's free - not extradite.

So don't be fooled by Palestinian press releases when a particular murder threatens bad PR. No matter how nicely worded the English language statement may be, Mahmoud Abbas firmly believes that the perpetrators, if caught by Israel, should not be punished. If anything they should enjoy a stipend from the PA.

An IDF and ISA joint operation led to the discovery of the body of a murdered IDF soldier. The murderer confessed to having planned to use the body to bargain for the release of his brother imprisoned for involvement in multiple terror attacks.

Yesterday, September 20, at approximately 10 p.m., a report was received concerning the disappearance of an IDF soldier – Sergeant Tomer Hazan, age 20 – who hadn’t contacted his family since the morning.

Following the report, an ISA (Israel Security Agency or Shin Bet Security Service) intelligence operations room was established in cooperation with the Israel Police and the IDF.

The intelligence operation lead by the ISA, unveiled that Nadal Amer, a 42 year old Beit Amin/Qalqilya resident who had previously worked with Sgt. Hazan to Sha’arei Tikva, a town near Amer’s residence.

Upon discovering that, the ISA, IDF and Israel Police arrived at the Amer family residence in Beit Amin/Qalqilya in order to apprehend Nadal Amer and his brother, who were then taken for questioning by the ISA.

During the ISA investigation, Amer confessed to having persuaded Sgt. Hazan to follow him to the area of his residence on Friday morning, September 20.

During the questioning, Amer confessed to leading Sgt. Hazan to an open area north of the village of Siniria, where he murdered the soldier and concealed his body in a water well.

In his investigation, Amer added that the motive for murdering the soldier was to trade his body for the release of his brother – Nur Al Din Amer – a Tanzim Fatah terrorist imprisoned since 2003 for his involvement in several terror attacks.

This morning, Amer led security forces to the location of the concealed body.

IDF representatives have notified Sgt. Hazan’s family.

IDF Spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner stated: “This is a horrific terrorist attack carried out by one murderer trying to free another. The IDF will continue to battle the agents of evil wherever they are, to safeguard the Israeli way of life.”

The investigation is ongoing, additional detentions of individuals suspected for involvement in the incident are anticipated.

  1. So much for interfaith outreach. Here's a message for those who believe if we only love the Arabs just a bit harder they'll love us back.
